Hi all, Wonder if anyone has used crossovers like dbx, rane for DIY speaker projects.....one will have to bi-amp the speakers but wonder how good these crossovers are ? Rane and dbx do seem to have good reputations and many DIY guys seems to use them. Manek. |

I would stick to the golden rule. Keep professional equipment for the professional and vice versa. I have never heard or even seen a Rane Xo. But I have seen the schematic and they appear to be overtly complicated and over-engineered for domestic high-end audio. The emphasis seems more on having a sturdy product that will give reasonably good performance day after day. The measured specs sure look great.
