Hello All, This is my first post...but have been visiting here quite often since this place seems to be quite india-centric which helps with what I'm looking for. I'm not really a technical person but I have been doing a little research on the internet and can get my head round a typical speaker spec sheet. Hope the following info helps. 1) I'm looking for a decent audio set-up installed at home. Not really interested in surround sound or home-theater as straightforward cd-play music gets 90% of my free-time. However, space constraints mean I cannot buy floor-standers and somehow i'm not too keen on bookshelf speakers. A satellite-sub combo is what I have to go with. 2) Current set-up is a Marantz SR4600 AVR driving 5 Monitor Audio Radius 45's and a Radius 360 Sub (the sub is very impressive but the system as a whole feels a bit ![]() 3) I'm not a bass-head and am not looking to bring the building down...However hip-hop does feature on my playlist so nice, tight bass is welcome. 4) I did have a listen to the basic Telome 5.1 set-up at their demo-room and was extremely impressed...which is when I started doing a little more research on Indian speaker manufacturers. After looking around and based on specs alone I have narrowed it down to the Lithos Audio Pro-10's which are wall mountable and come with the Terra 150 sub. Although I have only actually demo'd the Telome's, the Pro-10's spec sheet seems more impressive and that's all I'm going by at the moment. 5) I AM ONLY LOOKING TO BUY INDIAN SPEAKERS - Price bracket of around Rs.50k (lower and not higher) - the lithos Pro-10's and sub are 42k+VAT 6) Amplifier is likely to be a Rotel RA-05 or 06...Suggestions welcome here In the end it boils down to this...an Indian brand 2.1 sat-sub combo around 50k...all suggestions welcome. Thanks in Advance Azzy |

Lithos quality is good. I have heard and liked their Noa 1s. BTW, Pro 10s are sensitive and should play pretty loud. The Lithos sub has an interesting band pass design and is claimed to be of real low distortion. U will have to compare the Lithos against foreign brands as my take is that it is superior to most other Indian stuff. |

May I suggest sticking with your AVR and spending more on a good speaker system. |

Hi Shahrukh, The Marantz is currently part of a HT setup and has to stay where it is. Besides i fancy a new Rotel ![]() Basically I'm looking for opinions, etc. on the Lithos Pro-10's as I'm pretty much sold on them. Thanks, Azzy |

Hi Azzy, do visit the Lyrita-Audio website-Viren makes some pretty impressive speakers, well within your price range. I can guarantee their musical tonality. Kamal |

How much does Viren charge for shipping speakers? Can he arrange for a demo in Mumbai? Niggling practical problems ![]() Even I would like to listen to Viren's range. But I'm in Chennai. I think Azzy is right in considering Indian products. I personally like Cadence, Lithos and Pulz. Telome, Norge and Sanen Acoustics should also be considered. I have not heard DNM. Norge is very cost effective. |

How is the Sonodyne compared to the Cadence, Lithos or Pulz? Just curious...if Sonodyne is not built on the same quality standards as the ones mentioned above. |

Juggy, Sonodyne is not in the same league as Cadence, nor are the others that you mentioned. Cadence is an internationally acclaimed brand! Kamal |

What is the price range for Cadence speakers. I know they are world famous and have heard that they start at a few thousand dollars per pair...is this correct? and if so, anybody on here own a pair? Would love to hear details of how awesome they are ![]() |

Manek owns Cadence's mid priced Aritas & is perfectly happy with them-you could PM him for his ownership experience. Look for the thread" Cadence demo in Bangalore" & PM Jochen Semler, who runs Cadence's demo room in B'lore-he'll be happy to provide all the details you ask for. Kamal |
