Hi, I really dont want to invest 10K in a separate tape deck - they are getting junked anyway and probably 10 k would get me all the CDs I need. Well, the question is can I connect a Sony walkman I have (its a good one) thru the headphone output to the amp tape input? I could put it at real low volume. I found a connector which could work too. Rgds Vinod |

You Very well can. What you need is either a 1. Headphone Jack to RCA Connector + Interconnects 2. Cable with built in Headphone jack at one end and RCA outputs in the other. Just hook it on to the CDP input OR Auxiliary input of the AMP. Keep the Volume Knob of the Wlakman between 0-30% and adjust onlyvolume of the AMp to your desired leve (The Amp in a Walkman/CDMan is not of great quality and usually provides least distortion in that range) You would need to experiment with the walkman placement (Upright Vs Horizondal) as well as where it is placed (Over Rubber/Coir/Cork mats with weights on it) Budget constraints can usually be overcome with some great tweaks ![]() Cheers! |
