Hey guys. I am new here. I searched and could not find anything about my question. I have a rotel rsx-1055 receiver and I want to plug my acoustic guitar into is so I can jam out at home. I have a passive mono pickup attached to my guitar. I asked Rotel how I can plug it into my receiver and they said to use a 3.5mm mono plug and plug into an analog input. The problem is, there is no 3.5mm analog input. Should I be able to just us an rca adapter and plug it into my rca audio input? I bought a stereo adapter and I could not get it to work. Does it have to be a mono adapter? Any help would be great. Thanks! Brynden |

Hi! Brynden, Just forget plugging ur gat into the rotel unless u have too much bread. You cannot plug a 1/4" Phono plug into the amp as it only has RCA inputs. You may need to buy a small mixer where u can plug the guitar into and then take a two 1/4" phono to RCA cables (LC & LR) into one of the sources on the ROTEL. If I were in ur place I will not plug the guitar into this amp. Period. Buy a small guitar amp. Rgds Prithvi |

secondly you will have to ensure that your guitar feed sends a safe line level input into the recvr. manek. |
