Budget amp and speakers. Help!!

Hi,

I am looking to setup a new system. I have very li'l idea of the specs and what is doing the rounds in the market. After some minimum research, what suits my budghet I thought was the NAD C320BEE and the AE AEGIS EVO3 speakers.

I have very little idea if this is the best combination. I would be grateful if somebody could guide me to get the best setup at a decent budget.

I am at bangalore, so information specific to b'lore would be greatly appreciated.

what are the ae aegis evo3 costing you ?

Its around 20k, this I know through a friend who has bought 'em. Is it a reasonable price?

I can vouch for the amp as I use it myself but
havent heard AE yet to know if the price is reasonable.
But they seem to have had a few good reviews.

The genie from sonodyne are sub/sat type where as evo3 are floorstanders....depends on what you are looking for.

There are other budget floorstanders like monitor audio bronze, polk, morduant short, mission, athena, wharfedale diamond, lithos etc you could explore for around 20k or a bit more.

I am not looking particularly at floorstanders, just looking for a good combination , as I am fairly new to this.

I could explore for a bit more than 20k?
How much does the 320bee cost? Is it available in bangalore?

What other components do you recommend?

The aegis spec says that amplification is passive, what does that mean? Is it advantageous?

I believe the nad320bee is stil a bit difficult to get in bangalore. Cambridge audio is slightly easier to find.

I suggest you try and hear the ones mentioned and see what you like. Depending on your tastes futher options can be explored.

btw what music do you listen to ?

Listen to a li'l of jazz , blues , rock n roll and metal occasionally.

I will try these speakers out, I know its a li'l difficult to get a NAD in b'lore , but i am exploring ways to get it shipped from bby.
