15 helon in a closed box

Hi due to the size of my trunk i am building 2 15 helon in a closed box. does anybody have any idea how they will sound? the box will have a volum of about 140l. should i fill the box up completley with some kind of insulation?

Hello Brian,

i haven't done, what you are going to do, so the following words are more theoretical.

The sound will be clear as known of closed boxes but it will not go as deep as is does in vented cabinets.

I think the question is why to use the helons, when you don't have the space to give them the wellknown box?

i originally wanted to build a db drag car but lost interest after sinsheim. they were in 2 or 3 forums for sale but nobody wanted them so i have to use them since i don't have the money to have subs that cost that much laying around.

So maybe the price didn't hit?

If you got the time, just cut out first only one hole for a woofer. So try one alone. If it's what you wanted, you won time to get the spare one sold.

hi,

both subs are running and i can say that for a spl sub that should be in a bassrefelx box they are going crazy. they kick and still go low. i was listning to a nelly song and i was very impressed. due to space though i think i will take 1 out and try 1 as reflex to see what the diffrence is like.
