Hello Everybody,

First of all, I'm very sorry I do not understand a word of German only English
I have arrived here writing "kopfhorer forum" on Google and did everything "by ear"

...And I am here looking for your help.

My name is Edoardo, nice to meet you.
I am a 21-year-old student who loves listening to his favourite music through good headphones.

The question is the following.

I'd like to buy a pair of GOOD German or Austrian headphones with a 350 € budget. So I have taken under consideration:
Sennheiser HD600
Sennheiser HD650
Beyerdynamic DT880 (250 Ohm)
AKG k701

But, most of all, I'd love to TRY them before buying them...!

Where I live (North-Eastern Italy), this is not possible.

But I am going to spend a few days in Munchen in March (going to listen to the Munchner Philarmoniker ) and I was wondering...

Is there a shop in Beyern Munchen who will give me the possibility to try ALL these four headphones?

You can imagine that I'd prefer to listen to ALL these headphones before spending such an amount of money (that's quite a lot for me), and I want to do that in the same place, in the same shop, so that I can somehow reward such a great and kind seller by buying a pair of his.

Else, do you think that this "thing" that I want to do will be possible at the next "Munich Hi End 2010" in May?
Will all those 4 headphones be avaiable for a trial?
In this case, how will they be amplified?

Thank you very much everybody in advance for you kindness

What would you appreciate in a Headphone? A Good Bass Response for example or are you more into a "crisp and clear" sound? Tell us what matters to you in music and we can help you find your own "best matching headphone".

Taste matters most , so listening to the headphones you desire is a good idea. Unfortunate i can't tell you a good place im munich to listen to headphones but maybe somebody else can help you.

This shop http://www.hificoncept.de/ might have all of your desired models, a quick email should clear that up.

And on top of that, it's in walking distance to the Gasteig, where the Philharmoniker usually perform.

Hello,

First of all thank you very much for the answer.

I can tell you that I've already spent more than one year foruming and looking on the internet for my definitive best match.

After hundreds of topics and posts, I've come to these four headphones, which are all said to be linear and loyal, in other words, "monitor-like".
And I've come to the conclusion that at this level there is no "better", but just "different".

And therefore I know that any of these headphones could satisfy me, but I know that I will not be happy and sure of my choice until I will have tried them all... But I can afford just one! ...So... That's why I'm here looking for help

Thank you very much, I will surely contact this shop shortly.

Do you think it will be possible to try them? Do sellers do that in Germany?

If not so what about the Munich Hi End?

Most of the dealers that sell headphones have them on display. They wouldn't sell any if they didn't do that, I guess.

And fyi: all four of these headphones sound different. Especially the HD650 compared to the K701. HD600 and DT880 are somewhere in between. Differences definitely are big enough to like one but not like the other(s).

Dont forget to bring your own CD's to the Shop. Listening (or in your case "testing") to Headphones with unknown music is absolutly nonsense.

Also depend solely on your own opinion and experiences with the headphones, because the salesman often try to convince people to buy the most expensive and/or the product with the biggest provision.

I think that maybe here not many spend that money on headphones and the shops are not big enough to afford that...

Yes I will not forget to carry my favourite CDs (and why not, the best sounding among them)

I have got a pair of ATH-M50, AKG k141, AKG k271... These will be by far the longest step! I will not listen to the seller I promise

...In fact I have also thought about asking if I could carry my own headphone amplifier there... I trust my Lake People G100 a lot!

What do you think about it? I'm asking you because I have never been in such a shop and I do not know the manners, the etiquette... What do you think?
