Help I just became the owner of a 1960 era magnavox hifi. Everything works fine except my turntable wont turn. When I pulled off the turn table and looked to see whats happening I noticed the spindle is turning and the wheel that is for the cycle but the platter wheel is not turning. Is it supposed to be attached to the spindle by a belt? There is no old belt in the unit, but it could have been removed by some one else, in any case the unit goes thru all the motions (the tone arm comes over etc.) but then it just shuts itself off. What do I do?
