I checked out the link. There are tons of stuff here. Thanks for posting this. Do they have a "company store" where we can buy the products? Or do we have to go to Lamington road to get these? Thanks. CR |

bump... Any kind soul in the board willing to shed light on the query I posted above? This will be greatly appreciated by someone who's new in India ![]() I called up the numbers posted in the "contact us" section of the site unfortunately I can't talk the the guy on the other end of the line...my hindi is not yet up to speed. Just want to know if they have a company store or are there stores in Lamington road (I gather this is where most electronic/electrical stuff are sold) which sells their products. Thanks. CR |

As far as I know, their 'Company Store " is at Lamington Road. Check out ' Champion Rubber " at Lamington Road. MX / Konica have TONs of dealers, but most keep only the garden variety of cords... |

Thanks for the added info Manek. I also noted an online ordering facility in their web page. Anyone here who has tried it out? |

Have not gotten round to using the wires. Personally I don't really buy into the idea that speaker cables affect sound quality that much especially on a low to mid fi set up. I purchased the 10 gauge cable coz of the long run required when I do get round to deploying the speakers to our masters bedroom... |

Maybe its just me or my AV gear…I just don’t notice any audible difference between run of the mill speaker cables and branded ones – although I have not had the chance to use really expensive cables. I currently have Monster cables (which I got on sale – huge discount - from abroad) in my smaller HT set up and DAC cables for my main HT set up – both 14 gauge. I have tested both cables on the pair of MS 904 I have on pure direct mode…no noticeable difference. I was probably influenced by an article I read on the web titled “Wirebusters” written by one Roger Russel when I started building my 1st HT set up. To a newbie it made quite a lot of sense. I have a couple of friends back home who have invested huge amounts of money on their audio and HT set ups – one swears by the fact that expensive speaker cables provide a noticeable difference while the other holds the opposite view. I still look forward to the day when I get a chance to AB different speaker cables connected to a hi-fi set up. It may change my views. |

It makes a difference. It depends on how “resolving “your system and setup is. Well constructed and designed cables will sound better than run of the mill stuff anyday. I don’t know about ultra-expensive stuff. I think most of it is “ snake oil “ at that level. Some thing you may want to read written by Frank Van Alstine. He is of the opinion that load sensitiveness of an amp can affect the sound when you use different speaker cables. So if a particular spk cable sounds good at your friends place, it may not sound the same with your amp. You may have to find the best one yourself. ![]() |

100% Agree. for ALL Cable. That is why I have always maintained that DONT buy a cable unless you get a Home trial. Given the 80% margin for some (? ) "Cable Bandits" I dont think a Home demo is asking for too much.. ![]() |

Informative article square_wave. Here's the “wirebusters” article by Roger Russel I mentioned in my earlier post ![]() Amp_nut, in-home auditioning of AV gear (cables included) as a standard offering of dealers/retailers in the country may just be around the corner... Mass retail in India is set to explode with the opening of Reliance Retail across the country and the entry of the big boys – Walmart, Tesco, Carrefour et al. Days of traditional retailing as we know it are probably numbered. Now will it trickle down to the hi-fi AV market…only time will tell. |

Hi-end audio cannot be sold through mass retailers like Wal-Mart. You can do mass market low fi and mid fi (shiny products with lots of advertisements ) through them. Niche players who do the real thing will be known by very few and they will always operate through small specialized retailers. |

I am aware of this square_wave. Since the country is bang in the middle of high economic growth coupled with the entry of service orientated retailers there is a strong chance that customers needs and wants will evolve. The time will come when consumers of hi-fi (really hi-end) gear will clamor for in-home auditioning. There will be one smart hi-fi (hi-end) retailer who will offer this and probably the rest of the hi-fi (hi-end) retailers will follow suit. All in the spirit of maintaining service competitiveness in the market place. |

Today, sadly, most dealers dont even maintain stocks where you can cash & carry home .... ![]() And they STILL want their 50% mark up.... ![]() ![]() |
