12 or 10 inch woofers???+A -A |

Is a 12 inch woofer better than 10 inch woofers?.As one of my friend here says that 10 inches are better in mid bass.......

on an average a 10 incher will extend further into the mid band than a 12 incher. But the a 10/12 inch driver are effectively used as woofers for bass and lower mids. Ther eis nothing like a 12 incher is better than a 10 incher. It juat depends on the quality of the drivers in question. manek. |

Are you looking for a Speaker or a Subwoofer ? For a speaker what is important is only the min freq response (usually 3dB for reference) as well as the SPL at that and you should be able to make that out from the speakers frequency curves. The only time a woofer size may be importatn is in case of Subwoofers. In room is ery large (ie 20x30 kinds) that si the onlyn time when a difference between a 10 and a 12 would be apparent. |
