Dubai. How cheap and where?

Has anybody bought any recievers from Dubai recently? How much is the difference in price? if any one has pls forward address/email of retailers from where i can enquire current prices.

that i did. got the Nad. big_ears was instrumental in my purchase. i suggest u contact him to see if he can help u in any way. if its dubai u r shopping in then u need to talk to Big ears.

Hi,

Over the years I found that most electronics are priced almost the same in your local grey market. I haven't compared Hi end Audio, yet, but for most popular electronics this is a fact.

Bombay has a huge grey market. You can get cheated easily, but it's on par with Dubai.

If you have a regular, trusted source, do buy locally.

Last week I flew by Dubai and got a NAD C521 BEE. A friend's friend bought it for me and I collected it. Here's the cost for those who want to compare.

Price 780 Dhs
Visa 200 Dhs ( Temporary, for transit passengers)
Cab fare 50 Dhs to collect the Cd from the friends house!!!

With Dhs @ 12.15 to the Indian Rupee it works out to around 12500 Rs all inclusive.

Is it worth it???

definitly.
It costs about 18k her in Bangalore.

And specially, If you team it up with the NADC320, its too good.
