Did you guys attend the AV MAX Audio Expo @ Hyatt this month ?

Any comments ?

I was in & out of that hotel in 20 minutes....nothing really caught my fancy

Besides that the B&W and Polk were interesting.

I 've been attending AV MAX expo since it was held for the first time at Regeant Bandra. That was the best ever!. Almost over 50 brands had taken part;That was first of it's kind in India then.
Since then every year the show is on a decline! both qualitatively as well as quantitatively.It is understandable that the HT components are on a hype; but it was really pathetic to see a whole lot of video displays, plasmas,& LCDs, and a range of projectors. there were very few HT audio seperates displayed (ProFX, & ONKYO being loyal exceptions).After Searching for a long time I could find 3or 4 stereo ( or shall I say pure Audio) demo rooms. One was Denon:Denon:QED:Polk. here I got to listen a DVD-A for the first time. The other was NAD:NAD:VDH:PSBimage.Both were really good, especially the PSB speakers!. Room 3 was Definitive speakers; not my taste, punchy and powerfull. Ofcourse there was the ever crowded Bose room, which I didn't enter. JAMO and my favourite B&W were really busy in movie demo too!! there was no evidence of mission, sonodyne, cadence, harmon,JBL and all the brands from sound of music.
To sum up it was more of a V than an A EXPO!!

Next Show is coming up;

11.11.2005 to 14.11.2005.

Same Place - HYATT HOTEL.

Maybe it shall be better !

You are correct;
My apologies....

The Show that concluded in ND was from Times AV Revolution,
so is the one that is to happen in Bombay in November.

It is not one that is being done by AV Max.
