Hi friends,
Do u have any pics of yours and your systems. can u post them on the forum. There is not forcing if and only if you wish you can post it.

can you please post pics of your favourite setup. I know you have posted pics of your speakers, do you have any pics of your complete system?

no man i have an yamaha amp i dont have a digital cam so i cant post it. hey there is little bit modifications in my existing bookshelf...i have added a port on the front side. I u wanna check it then i can send you a highend 3d pic of that bookshelf.

no man i didnt ask u personal pics i ve seen lots of pics where people standing beside their system and posted that pics over the net.

I actually like you suggestion of posting pics of our AV gear on the web. Firstly, I am not sure how this can be done on this forum.

Personally would like to see your gear in action. Let me know and I shall post mine on this forum.

Here are the pics of my new HT setup system.

Front Left, Right and Centre. The tweeters are fairly low in height, so need to put these on stands or sit on the floor for optimal listening. There are probably tons things to correct with the setup. Speakers are pretty heavy and will need an entertainment centre to place the centre.

How are u... and ur onixez are nice lookin with veneer finish. But regarding the placement tell me the room size and tell me the seating position i will give you some better setup for your speakers. But i think one major mistake that u did in ur placement is that the center channel is very close to the listening position rather than behind the floorstanding position.

Are u using this stuff for DVD audio? or SACD?

Sandeep, this is my temporary setup for my stay abroad. I will be moving to a much smaller apartment in Bangalore. The centre is very heavy for me to place on top of the TV and the stand is very small to place the speaker below the TV. I will send you the room dimensions once I get back home.

The major problem with the setup is that all speakers are rear vented requiring sufficient breating space. May need to work on room acoustics as well as the side walls are just sliding glass doors.

Abhi, I spent most of my money on the Arcam AVR 300 receiver, more so than the speakers. I believe I paid somewhere between 80 or 85k in rupees. Let me know if you get better price elsewhere in grey market in India. The cheapest I heard in any forum is 60k. Arcams do not intenet sales and you typically should not expect big discounts through normal channels.

Due to my location, I have not been able to A/B test receivers and went by advise from friends and folks on this forum. The music quality is superb and I am very satisfied with the stereo performance.

The movie performance is equally impressive with the fronts and centre connected. I will have to check with the surrounds connected later this week.

I went to Arcam due to its musical properties and I simply loved the stereo on JM Labs cobalt series speakers. For the 100w * 7 channel receivers, they are one of the lightest. I believe there are two fans that may not sound as impressive specs to you.

Other receives to check in this class will be offerings from Rotel and NAD. Rotels have higher power and are much heavier. If you go for Arcams, I suggest you check out the Rotels and NADs too.

If you are mostly on HT, I would suggest something less expensive like Denons (assuming you are not going separates).
