Got a quotation for Athena & Mirage

Guys,
The dealer of Athena and Mirage (in mumbai) got in touch with me last week. He said that he has a guy in Blore who takes care of these brands in blore. His name is Kalpesh, he has a shop called Hansa Cine equipments here in Blore. Most probably the Mirage omni250 will be on demo this weekend at Hansa.
I dont have idea about either of this brand.
Please let me know the following:

1. What are the strengths of these brands/speakers and especially the Mirage omni-250, 260 and Athena AS-f2 ??

2. Are all of them all-rounders (suitable for all popular genres of music).

3. The price quoted are:
Mirage omni250 : around 50k
Mirage omni260 : around 65k
Athena AS-F2 : around 35k.
Let me know if they are rightly priced and which one would be the best buy.

How is the WS series from Athena ??

the Mirage Omni as the name suggest has a 360 degree dispersion and is not direct firing as in conventional speakers. (The are not dipoles but Omni poles). their tweeters have a kind of reflecting disc to achieve this.

hence they do not have a narrow sweetspot.

The more expensive brands in this category are the radiastaahl, the Bella Lunes and the Ohm Walshs..

there are people who like it and those who dont in conventional stereo
they come from the same stable as Energy..and is a canadian brand like Paradigm totem etc.

I have heard their Omnisats/Omnisat micors and feel they are the best for an HT experience due to their lovely dispersion. but have amindset against them for stereo..buit is is personal and there are people who like it as well.

you can read a lot of riveiws of these in the web..hence do your research !

IMHO, the athenas are a better buy.. a bit bright but can be tamed with a warm amp and has a high sensitivity with a strong bass.

Also it has a good pedigree of lots of R&D as well trickle down technology..

There are lots of users out there. These are relatively new brands in India. Canadian speakers like paradigm, psb are also very popular on this forum.

my feeling has been that except for some folks audioreview is not a very good place to get a good unbiased review..you will have just the owners praising their own speakers.

All these are well reviewed and you should get an idea about it after reading them..try
