Any wadia users here? if so what is your openion on its presentation of RED BOOK CD?

I use a WADIA 861 Basic, the presentation of the player when driven direct I would say is very very clean and clear but sounds a little mechanical, and when driven by my Hovland HP-100 it is far far more musical. Its very diff to explain as every component is going to sound different in a diff setup. But I'll say this it is one of the most well-built players around and cant go wrong with it at this price point. Also I sold my Audio Aero Prima(Capitole DAC) in favor of this player so....
