Manek, 'Champion Rubber' at Lamington Road does offer an IEC female plug... Rs 15. Not GREAT quality, but its all I have been able to source, besides taking a computer cord and cutting it off, to use the plug. |

rsindia.com carries a whole load of them. Mostly made by Bulgin. Great quality. My QUADII has all sockets and fuse holders made by Bulgin and 40+ years seems to have done no harm to them Search for "IEC Connectors). Prices start at Rs. 250/ea |

Monsieur Moderateur-ji Actually the process is quite simple at RS. You select the product and then add to your list. You should have an account though. You dont pay upfront. And while siging up give an official sounding email Id and your work place address. They dont seem too obsessed with us DIY types. RS has a very comprehensive listing. From a small resistor to speaker drivers, test instruments and transformer. But you need to order sensibly. Some things are priced 100x. They dont retail. I wonder why you had to go through the pain of callling up the toll free. At least you got to speak to a nice babe ![]() ![]() [Beitrag von screamgigi am 28. Okt 2006, 05:45 bearbeitet] |

Exactly. Many items listed in RS can be found in India. You will be really surprised if you are prepared to a little leg work. But RS pricing strategy is baffling. They some very attractively priced things that you can never even dream of finding in India. Look at some of their capacitors. You get ELNA Stargates, Oscons etc for very little money in RS. Yes I noticed the varying prices. Wonder ! nevertheless its good as there is one entity which sells a lot of stuff that can go into good DIY. I'm trying out the IEC connectors and rubber based 3 pin 5A plugs. I also noticed that they seel QED stuff but its expensive. Manek. |
