Mozart: Cosi fan tutte mit Karajan

Ich habe mich nicht viel mit Mozart Opern befasst.

Ein Zitat aus Gramophone 12/1988:

'When the Muti version first appeared, I was quite lavish in its praise, and I enjoyed it again immensley, not least for the way Muti, even more than Karajan, places orchestral detail and remembers the importance of the viola in Mozart's scoring. Even so, I don't think his version has quite the individuality of the other three readings, particularly of the Karajan, and the Bohm, which is itself cast almost as successfully as the Karajan, and perhaps coached even more profitably by Legge. Bohm also seems to have more fun than any of his rivals—and his speeds are so often the right ones. He once answered a question of mine about tempo in Mozart by commenting (he was actually talking about Die Zauberflote) that any speed must be governed by whether or not the singers could then articulate easily the smallest note in a number. It is something Karajan and Muti, in their highly-charged performances, occasionally forget. Bohm's understanding there and in so much else made him the great Mozart conductor he was. Those wanting an up-to-date recording need hardly feel they have second-best with Haitink.'

Ich habe bei JPC und bei Amazon nach der Membranbox geguckt: Don Giovanni ( Krips), Zauberflöte ( Fricsay), Cosi Fan Tutte ( Böhm), Figaro ( Kleiber). Alles Wiener Philharmoniker und einmal Rias ( Fricsay). Tolle Aufnahmen, ich liebe sie, aber diese äußerst billige Box scheint es nicht mehr zu geben. Schade.
