Hi I am planning on buying speakers for my dedicated home theather room. I wouldlike your advise on some floor standing speakers. Currently I have a Yamaha HTR 5250 receiver and a JBL "N-Center" speaker. I am planning to setup a large screen viewing area in this room, hence the type of music would be movies. Thanks masterluke |

'Believe in Yourself Luke'. Learn the ways of the Force Luke. and am not just saying that because am ur teacher and u are my paduan. alright...star wars apart...can u please specify ur room dimensions and the kind of music u prefer. i would personally like to go for the JBL studio series or for pure HT go for the bipoles of Definitive technology. Cheers, Obi Wan Kenobi. [Beitrag von benkenobi am 02. Mai 2005, 10:06 bearbeitet] |

Greetings Luke, WEll given ur rom dimensions which are exactly the same as mine(the present room) i would suggest the definitive technology bipolar towers that come with built in subwoofers). sure placement will be a concern but in such a large room am sure u will be able to solve this. for pure HT Def tech really takes the cake for sheer viewing pleasure. and if u must know the bipolar towers are actually recommended to be used in Ht. but this is a personal preference, ie, given the cash and the desire to setup a dedicated HT i would go in for a complete Def Tech installation with full range speaker on all sides(that's right , even a center channel with a 150 watts active subwoofer). Cheers, Ben [Beitrag von benkenobi am 02. Mai 2005, 14:13 bearbeitet] |

No one sitting ehre can really advise u on what is best for you unless they can personally come and see your room and scrutinize the other stuff you have and most importantly nonone here can ever really understand why u like what u like.... and this is where it matters most... i could come and see ur amp.. see your room.. and suggest that you buy infinity... you could turn around and say u like the sound of the JBL's.... and thats the way it will always be... Im not syaing that infinity or JBL is bad or anything but its a personal choice which u will have to make Listem to your ear.. see what u like... and then choose. ciao |

Puchoo is right......if you feel I dropped the idea of valves and want to go for SS many might tag me with a non audiophilic title...I care a sh*t...i spend money and I want what I like.....So trust your ears only...and keep em open to music and not the dealer's blah...blah |
