Hi !

Times AV Revolution 2006 is scheduled to be held at New Delhi (Hotel Ashok) from 1 to 3 September.

We have planned a meeting of Audiophiles on Saturday 2 September at 8:00 pm at Viren Bakshi's place. Final time & venue to be confirmed later.

We are proposing an informal interaction, with lots of music and a contributory dinner (something between Rs. 50-100 per person).

No listening rooms at all

No good brands

Summary - a big let down.

The AV Expo : A big DISAPPOINTMENT.

Meeting at Viren's Place: Rain plays spoil sport

and guess what i was the only one at Mr. Viren's place

I would like to thank Mr. Viren for the nice music, views/thoughts and generous hospitality.

I had gone to ND to attend the show;

It was really very very bad.

It should be re-named.

Video Show.

The audio part was missing.

There was some nice gear on demo, but it was 'silent'

What is the use of an audio show where one has to see the products ? I do not have any clue.

Bombay seems to be on the same lines @ Taj Lands End.

Sad.

Really very sad.

Really very very sorry.

I had an audition lined up - Martin Logan [Prodigy] + Bryston [14BSST] + Denon 3910 [modright] + Hovland [HP 200] + Acoustic Zen [Satori etc].

I was not in a position to miss that.
Hence could not go to Viren's place. I am sorry sir [Viren] !!!

Next time around.

The Jamo 909 looked a million bucks.

The Marantz SACD Player too was on demo - SCD 15 [I guess].

I had a listen to The Flying Mole amplifiers from Japan.
Sounded nice while driving the SF Cremona - Auditor [not at the show].

Much more was there. Will write later.

Went to my friends place, however the demo was not possible.
There were some power issues & the set up was not coming on properly. Hence cannot comment.
Besides, HP-100 is there in Bombay. Heard it more often that not.
I have actually auditioned the HP-200 in Singapore [Hi End Research]. It is a great pre amplifier. Actually if you want an un-balanced pre, it is a great product to consider. I like it a lot.
Very very musicel indeed.
