Sad news.
I used to have the “bad”, “Thriller” and “off the wall” Lps. Thoroughly enjoyed them those days. He was clearly ahead and more creative than most pop artists those days.
Never enjoyed anything he offered after the “bad” album though. Marketing and controversies took over and creativity went down the drain.

A sad day.

Very Sad indeed. He was extremely talented....the kind you see once or twice in a century.

he truly redifined POP and performance...having been a legend for close to 20-25 years his fall from grace the last decade was rather sad.

It is sad to see many faces that changed our world disappear, their soul will always be here with us though their works.
Reminds me of the song "Vincent" by Don Mclain, the world cannot accept those who devitate from accepted norms.

Starry,Starry nights refers to that famous painting by Vincent Van Gogh - Starry Nights that now hangs in MoMa NY.
