In my experience there are very few people who loves audiophile quality. But rest of them are like they want something with punchy bass, crispy treble(they particularly say not natural) etc etc...

But as many of you are highly experienced and let me know what do u say regarding this audiophile ratio

Geez Sandeep you need to change you login to be poll_master. What's with all the polls? They don't give you any more useful data than just discussions in a forum.

oh yeah if the track I listen to contains crispy treble or punchy bass I want to hear it and feel it as well...so making it sound bland or vocal dominated and calling it audiophile quality is nonsense for me. If thats audiophile then I'm not one and don't want to be in that lunacy.Remember no combo can give you natural sound and this topic has been discussed to death...So lets make our systems sound good for our ears....To hell with other parameters..of course music has to enjoyed the way you like to listen to it and not confined to what others define it as...Just like this...

can anyone define what the term audiophile means???. in your own words Please and no Ctrl+C and Ctrl+v job from other sources...IMHO this is most loosely used term like the yesteryears PMPO.

The key words here are ardent and sound reproduction and not music.

but this term in most forums leans so much towards would mean Knowledge and Interest in the components and aids to sound reproduction !

Whether good, Bad, True, Untrue, relevant, Non Relevant etc is all very personal

since there is no certification exam for this, anypone who feels he is an audiophile ...is one !

Again this poll seems to blur the intention. it is mite impossible to draw a conclusion. I've met several guys and only after continued meetings could I discover these guys had worthy equipments. Audiophiles don't carry a tag on their foreheads...unlike easy to distinguish a spotty 17 year old and a wrinkly 70 year old..every age group, income group, diffrent stratas of society have Audiophiles( as defined by our dear friend Arj

). May be some are in the circle of Audiophiles always and some are in the company of bird watchers.....so how would the former and latter vote....your first choice by former definetely and latter for the last choice.....Anyway here have a WILLS...where there is WILLS there's a way....
