Hola.. Ok...thanks...my english is very bad I will do my best.. How connected to each other two excelent equipments.. 1 - PHASE LINEAR MODEL 3000 SERIES TWO (PRE) (110 V)(***) 2 - SAE 3100 (POWER AMPLIFIER) (220V) In my country (Argentina) is 220V.. Help please for: 1 - Audio connections (Pre Out - Main In..etc) by example.. 2 - Electrical connections (SAE 3100 no power button)... (***) I have the electric transformer (110 -->220) to connect to the grid... I searched on the internet and the information is not much and that is why I seek your help.. sorry for my english... Thank you very much for everything.. Kind regards from Mar del Plata - Argentina Walter |

The SAE 3100 only has two inputs (channel a, channel b), where you connect the output of your preamp. The step down transformer is only needed for the Phase Linear. When the signal (from pre amp) is detected, the SAE 3100 will power on. |

Hola Walter, for I´m a lucky owner of a PL-3000-II too, I´d try to give you some help regarding this item - hopefully it is sufficient for you Your PL-3000-II should have a dual (primary coil) transformer for 120/240VAC mains. Please allow a profesionell to compare the following wiring diagramm with your equipment The PL-3000-II preamp must have the NR-LOOP In/Out to be connected - with a "jumper" in original or with a short RCA chord. The SAE 3100 is conected via RCA chord to pre amp´s output A or B (output B is switched by the headphone connector in front of the unit). Mains are supported to the SAE via AC-OUTLET´s at the back of the pre amp. best regards Detlef ... please change the headline of this thread to e.g. "How To Connect PL-3000 II and SAE 3100" for better use of our internal search funktion !! Hola.. First of all thank you very much for your answers.. Deteqq,I do not have the manuals and therefore some questions, please: One:Means that the term "NR LOOP",that the role and when they must be connected (OUT with IN) or not.. Second:The RCA "OUTPUTS" "A sw" and "B unsw" are are the audio outputs from the pre (PL 3000) to power amplifier input's (SAE 3100) is correct this..? Which of the two should I use,is associated with the use of the headphones... Third:What I can or I can not connect in the "SWITCHED 500W" "120 VAC 50/60 HZ" or "UNSWITCHED 1000W".. I hope not bother with so many questions..and thanks again.. Sorry for my english type Flintstones.... Walter |

Hola ... your english is much better than my spanish 1. the NR-LOOP is used for looping-in an external equalizer. If you don´t use something like that, you must have the NR-LOOP In/Out be connected - with a "jumper" in original or with a short RCA chord 2. use the A sw(itched) outputs to feed the SEA with the audio signal via RCA chord. If you plug in your headphone at the frontpanel this A sw outputs will be switched OFF by an internal circuit breaker. 3. connect the power chord of the SAE to the "SWITCHED 500W" mains plug socket at the rear of the pre amp. This cause the SAE to be switched ON/OFF if you switch the PL-3000 ON or OFF. ... was this usefull? Detlef |
