You can listen to any PDF instead of reading with Adobe Reader 7.0 or 6.0, and the keyboard short cuts are :

Ctrl+shift+b - to hear the entire Document

Ctrl+shift+v - to hear the page

Ctrl+shift+c - to resume

Ctrl+shift+e - to stop

If it is not convenient to hear, because the voice is very fast, u can adjust that using the Voice Speed adjustment in the Control Panel ->SPEECH

Open any PDF File and test.... unbelievable

does it require any specific OS or SW ? or is it the in-built feature of PDF/acrobat

It is intergated into Acrobat 6 and above, which ONLY work on Win XP / 2000.

Not sure of the Mac platform...

Its Only a few key stroke... TRY it out !

Hi Jeeves,

I am not a Mac user, but I think, the Mac uses a COMMAND key instead of the windows CONTROL Key.

Hence could you try :

Command+shift+b - to hear the entire Document

Command+shift+v - to hear the page

Command+shift+c - to resume

Command+shift+e - to stop

Do let me knbow if it works ....

Hey jeeves, Amp_nut is right..just use command shift ..

you also have a menu option in the mac ie
Choose View > Read Out Loud etc..

BTW are you on Tiger ?
