Which CD are you referring to ? I can then give you the specific details.

I have a better suggestion;

Let Shahrukh take Amp Nut out for beer & amp nut will get his Laptop along. Just carry a HDD [portable] & take all the music from AN. That is what I did - without the beer i.e. !!! Just kiddin.....

as amp nut mentioned just edit the cue file using notepad and make it a wav. ..i think i had to convert the file to a wav too (forgot...too many downloads) then used cue splitter to split it into individual tracks !

and burn that single Huge wav file

then used cue splitter to split it into individual tracks !

Dont do that Arj. Splitting the files will completely destroy its identity from being automatically recognised by the CBDB or FreeCD databases ...

Al;l the songs will loose their names , and simply show up as Track-1, Track-2 etc.

A mess if you want to import any of these songs later into another program, or even refer to which song each is ...

Be brave and burn that single huge wav file. I use Nero, dgo to the burn CD Image option and point to the cue file ( NOT the wav file )

You will get a 'perfect' replica of the original CD, which will be auto detected by the online CD databases...

Just my 2 cents.

When you burn the CD with individual song tracks, does freedB identify it in EAC ? ?

This is good if the pressing is German;
The US Pressing is below par.

However, if you like this, you may consider [Amazon language] 'Madar' 'Rites' 'Ragas & Sagas'
These 3 albums from ECM are really nice.
Do try and get them..............

'Madar' has one of the best recorded 'tabla' solos I have heard.... Track # 5 if I remember. Not sure.

Jazz on cinema

Its a 2 cd compilation of all the jazz tunes featured in hollywood movies by various artists. Well its actually not all jazz and many tracks are just popular standards sung and played straight but its lovely to hear julie london, chet baker and nat king colen sidney bechet, sarah vaughan and many many others all in the same cd ! Recodings are from 1939 to 1997.
Some very good performances especially benny goodmans "sing sing sing" with his orch in full cry, summertime by sidney bechet, truely awesome.

I have another two new cd's tucked under.....will tell u guys later about them.

One of my favourite artists is the singer/songwriter Al Stewart.

If any of you, like me have followed his work - Time Passages, Year of the Cat etc, etc, I'd urge you to pick up his new album Sparks of Ancient Light now available at local stores.

This album spells a return to old form and sounds as good as as, if not better than his classic Time Passages.

Literary Pop at it's finest.

Highly Recommended.

Aww c'mon! Abbey Road is a brilliant album! #1 in Rolling Stones' "Best 100 Albums Ever!" Yeah, The Beatles had a crappy, childish sound in their earlier albums. From "Revolver" though, things start getting trippy! That said, their albums weren't always the highest in fidelity. But their last one LOVE is good. Atleast the UK pressing is!

You have some terrific music there with you.

Ray charles album is one of my favs. Well recorded and performed. That song "fever" with natalie cole, isn't it a stunner ? "It was a very good year" is another classic rendered wonderfully well, and then the elton john number "sorry seems to be". I have never enjoyed another album so much as I have this one. Every track is a beauty.

If you like this one then hear the tony benett duets celebrating his 80th b'day. Btw its not a mish mash of his older tracks mixed with new tracks, he is actually singing at 80 and in my opinion is better than all of his partering singers. It also very well recorded. Highly recomended by me.

Manek, Sinatra's Tv show with Jobim and Ella is my favourite performance of Sinatra. I have his his solo concert shows on DVD as well as with the Rat Pack but that one is Sinatra at his best. Love the way he sings while Jobim is playing the guitar. His voice I thought was at it's very best during this stage of his life.

Completely agree with you panditr....he was at his best those years.....and that's what my dad says too....his phrasing skills were at their best, his voice a bit smokier from all those ciggy's, I sure envy the people who heard him live during this part of his life.
But not to forget nelson riddle and his band that backed him up so well for so many years. Love nelson riddle.

And he sings so easy no? with jobim ? It was like telling a story to music.....And ella coming in with body and soul ? So damn moving...that is one great dvd !

Sadly I don't have any of the ratpack dvd's :-(

If you have the 70th bday concert, they brought in sammy davis and dean martin to perform.

Do you have the concert for the americas held in an amphitheater ? Probably the best rendition of "something" (that beatles song) I ever heard. He also sang the all time fav "strangers in the night" live at the concert, something he says he had never done before. His rendition of "yesterday" is awesome too !
