visaton B200+Monacor RBT 95

hi,
when im knowing right, than will the ribbon firstly com to market in a fiev month, so nobody nows in time, if it works god with an other speaker or in the solo100.
but somebody here in the forum is waiting with much interesst of the coming-out...

from the datas, what i haf seen, it coud be an good speaker, will see, what the reality say, when its 'free for saling'..

i mean, that the B200 normaly dont need an HT -it works fine only with his 'sperrkreis(don't know the englisch word).
i had, befor al longer time, the solo50 here in my room, for testing(had the chance to get a probing-pear for some days, for to cross-hearing with my bl-horns with BG20 -on a tube-amp
and i found it was good anoth(okay the bl-horns whree mutch better sounding on an tube-amp -the solos are made for transitor-amp and i coud hear that, when i take an transistor-amp -but 'horn is horn' and the bl's was it eval whatfor an amp had give the power)
when i woud take an HT for the solo's, i whoud test an 'good old' konus-ht, or the ring-radiator(by using the visaton-programm), because they have an near-the-same abstrahlverhalten(dont know the word) as th BB's

i think it is not a very wise solution to combine the b200 with a tweeter.
it is designed to run without one and it does so more or less.
( I personally do miss a tweeter with all the b200 setups I have heard so far )
BUT: if you want to use a tweeter anyway, there is no need to go for the quite expensive b200. a less expensive bass-mid unit would then do a job as good as the b200. for exemple the bg20 would be in my choice for this case ( it is far cheaper and does have TSPs quite suitable for a bass-reflex cabinet, which the b200 does not have either )

I agree to geist and kboe.

The B200 is designed to work without HT. If you think you need one it had to be of best quality. The RBT95 would also be my first choice for a low cost solution, or the Visaton TL16H if money dosn`t matter.

I agree to kboe that you dont need a b200 if you use a HT.
Then BG20 would be the better choice.

This "Mohai" works with a Visaton DHT9 tweeter.
A solution with the Monacor PA95 is in progress.

Thanks a lot to all of you.
My idea was help Solo 100 Down whit a subwoofer and up with a tweeter.
I have got allready the sub,a Zyklop project build with the same look of Solo 100.
Im an absolute beginner in diy,english and german.
I follow your projects on the forum.

for an absolute beginner, you are willing to spend quite a lot of additional mony ontop of the b200.
i would start up with this and then add sub and woofer only if i miss something......
